I traveled to Jerusalem and the West Bank over Christmas. Staying in the old city, I was captivated by the three great monetheistic faiths living literally on top of each other. Franciscan friars proceeding along the Stations of the Cross down the Via Dolorosa, call to prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, observing of the Shabbat at the Western Wall. A chaotic place with a conflicted history that will take minds and souls much greater than mine to unravel.
