Tibet has sparked my imagination ever since I read Tintin in Tibet as a young boy. I finally made it there in 2015 and 2017. In the Amdo region I witnessed the great Monlam Chemno prayer festival with its ritual of The Sunning of the Buddha . In the Tibetan Autonomous Region I traveled across the Tibetan plateau to the remote and holy Mount Kailash . I then joined in the celebrations of Buddha’s birthday (Saga Dawa) at Tarboche.
